HYDERABAD: The atmosphere of celebration pervaded through all the cities in the southern and central Sindh with the youth organising rallies and schools holding events to mark Independence Day. “Today, we should resolve that we will relentlessly struggle for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan,” said acting vice-chancellor of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Dr Ghaus Bux Khaskheli, while addressing a ceremony after hoisting the national flag. Independence Day celebrations were also organised at the neighbouring Sindh University (SU) and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro.
