NEW DELHI: Welcoming 11 evacuees from war-hit Yemen, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif for assisting in the evacuation process.
PM Nawaz had arranged a special aircraft to take the 11 Indian nationals to New Delhi after they arrived in Karachi from Yemen.

The help India extended included help to our neighbours Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka.

India itself has evacuated over 3,000 of its nationals from Yemen so far by air and sea.
The country further received requests for assistance from 26 countries including the US, Bangladesh, France, Germany, and Sri Lanka.
